The Durfee Family

In the Spring of 1820, the Durfee family consisted of 31-year old Edmund Durfee and his wife, 31-year old Magdalena (Lana Pickle) Durfee, parents of five children, 10 year-old Martha, 7-year old Tamma, 5-year old Edmond James, 4-year old Dorathea (Dolly), and 2-year old John. 

The Durfee family had been living for over ten years in Lenox, Madison County, NY, 90 miles east of Palmyra.
